McGraw-Hill: June Construction Retreats 1%
New construction starts in June slipped 1% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $446.1 billion, according to McGraw-Hill Construction. June featured a moderate loss of momentum for nonresidential building, after this sector’s improved performance in May. Read more.
AIA: Architecture Billings Index Steady at 45.9 in June
Architecture firms reported that the downward slide in billings that began this spring has continued into June. The national Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score was 45.9 for the month, not straying far from the 45.8 rating reported for May. Read more.
