Hi Kevin

Just a question for you - what are the main reasons you are wanting to upgrade?  What exactly are your pains with the product - is it the accounting or are you finding the job costing facility is limiting you?  The reason I ask is that it may be the accounting is fine but you need improvements in your operational areas.  If that is the case you may want to consider this - www.ipmglobal.net .

Will you be at teh CFMA conference at the end of the month?

Cheers.
Miree.

Kevin,

Thanks for submitting this question. I think from what you are saying that ComputerEase Software could be the right fit for you. Of all of the integrated construction software systems on the market, ComputerEase is always praised for its overall ease of use and for the great support and training staff that they offer to all customers. Just like some of the other names mentioned here, ComputerEase is an easy upgrade from QuickBooks as well. Here is a link that I think you might find useful in your search time. http://www.construction-software.com/ComputerEase-Advantages/Quickbooks-and-peachtree-software.cfm

This page highlights just a few of the ways in which ComputerEase makes switching from QuickBooks easy on the user, and saves you time in the long run. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me and I would be glad to answer any questions that you may have. 1-800-544-2530. Good luck in your search.

The most important item to consider is the support that you receive from the company or your local dealer.  American Contractor is very popular in the Phoenix area because of the support from the local dealer.  You also should look at AccuBuild, which has strong support from the company, which is based in Austin TX.  Foundation software also has a very good support network.

All three of these are a natural upgrade from Quickbooks.

We moved from Quickbooks to Sage Masterbuilder a little over 4 years ago and have been happy with the product.  The job costing is great.  The support is the best I have with any product.  The upgrades have been substantial, so I don't get a resentment over the renewal price.  The only real downside is that the module for customized report writing is not the greatest, but the canned reports (which can be easily customized) meet 99% of our needs.
