Bernie Bryant | We are a specialty contractor located in New England that has been asked to bid a project in New Foundland, Canada. We have never worked in Canada so I am trying to gather as much information as I can. If anyone out there has some experience sending labor and equipment north of the border I would like to speak with you. So far I have some general advice from our tax firm and that is all. Need to know everything there is about working in Canada. If anyone has some experience they are willing to share I would like to communicate with you right away. |

Paula Workman White | I just did a bunch of research on this for Toronto. Every Province is different. He is a guide that has a bunch of good info, but is from 2009. http://www.dickinsonwright.ca/articles/doing_business.pdf You will need CPA advice, immigration attorney advice, and a legal counsel from the area. They are very particular about only letting people in that do not take jobs from Canadians. If you will be in Ontario, I have a great attorney to recommend and a CPA firm that can help.
Good luck. |
