John,

Do not know where you stand on your search for a strategic planner, but I would love to be considered. I come form a construction background in the mechanical contracting industry. I was in a family business, serve on the board of a large heavy highway company in PA and do strategic planning. Seems like a fit to me. Visit our website (www.mccarlgroup.com) and call me (412-298-1435) or email me at fjmccarl@mccarlgroup.com to talk about best next steps in how I can become a "value added" partner to your company.

By the way I was recommended by Bill Kearns as a result of work I did for their company and their Strategic Plan. I look forwar to talking soon.

John,

The Duggan Rhodes Group is a construction consulting firm providing claims consulting services, dispute resolution and expert testimony services, CPM scheduling services, project control / risk management services and 3D / 4D modeling services to a wide variety of construction clientele and on a variety of projects.  We recently undertook a strategic planning effort with the assistance of The McCarl Group.  Mr. Jim McCarl has been acting as our facilitator and we have achieved very good results.  He has a long history as a contractor and management consultant and has a vast degree of knowledge within the construction industry.  I highly recommend him.

Here is his contact information:

I have two recommendations for you:

(1) John Hughes, Ollum Consulting, LLC, Minneapolis, MN (763) 432-2306 jhughes@ollumconsulting.com

John is an expert in Family Business Consulting, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, Organization Development, Culture Change, Internal Brand Building, Psychological assessment for selection and development. He has served as an executive coach as well.

If team building, organizational planning/development, or succession planning are key issues, I recommend John highly. He is very good at working with teams and "getting all of the oars rowing in the same direction at once." He is very good at building consensus and challenging "traditional" thought patterns.

(2) Tom Emison, Director at RSM McGladrey, (612) 376-9522 thomas.emison@mcgladrey.com

Tom is very skilled as well. He specializes in the Construction Industry and is a nationally recognized strategy planner in this field. He is an organizer, instructor and facilitator. If it's your first time at strategic planning, Tom can help educate your C-level execs and management team on why SP is important and "what it is" versus "what it isn't".

Both of these gentlemen produce results (not just "lip service"). They are both passionate about what they do, and it shows in their work product.

E-mail me ( douhut@mei.cc ) if you would like to discuss further, and I will send you my contact information. Good luck!
