Steve Moua | I have also seen a customer presentation on MJobtime. It has numerous capabilities on top of tracking labor and equipment. Here is the website for more info.

Todd Griffith | On the RFID side of things, Equential (www.equential.com) has a good product for field tracking of equipment. They also have labor tracking products. Both of these are pre-integrated with several construction software packages, including JD Edwards, Viewpoint and Timberline. |

Todd Griffith | JD Edwards (an Oracle product) contains very robust fixed asset / equipment functionality. JDE is one of the leading software packages in the construction industry for companies over about $70million/year in revenue. On the asset side, it not only accomodates the basics (tracking, costing, mutliple forms of depreciation, and retirements), but also includes preventative maintenance, meter readings/fuel consumption, equipment billing to jobs, utilization tracking, etc. |

Douglas Hutchison | Try Creative Solutions. We have used it since 2001. It tracks all of your fixed assets and calculates depreciation. It's very flexible and ultimately prepares our schedules and IRS forms (Form-4562). It's a stand alone system, but if you set it up properly, it can create journal entries. Terry Sabers | Tool Watch is a good program for tracking small tools, for major equipment there are a number of packages out there but we did not have a need so have not researched. I am curious- is anyone is using RFID for any equipment tracking? If so what have your results been? We ended up creating our own Access database with a swbd front end that we have been using for over 10 years, very effective and easy to use. |
