The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) is the
only nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the financial
professional in the construction industry. Established in 1981, CFMA now
boasts over 7,000 members and 86 chapters in major cities across the
United States. CFMA is the communications leader and premier source of
education and information about those aspects of financial management
unique to the construction industry.
The Georgia Chapter began in 1985. We are recognized as one of
the leaders within the CFMA organization as a result of strong
participation of over 160 members from the greater Atlanta area.
CFMA meets the needs of a broad spectrum of financial managers:
CFO's, treasurers, controllers, and accountants. All types of
contractors, suppliers and service companies that you are probably doing
business with today are represented in the Georgia chapter membership.
CFMA also offers various educational seminars including chapter
sponsored seminars and professional development programs. Dedicated to
excellence, all of CFMA's education programs provide unique
opportunities for the exchange of information and technical support,
networking referrals, and employment opportunities.
There are contractors. There are accountants. But, construction
financial professionals are a breed apart. For them, day-to-day
accounting is only part of the job. From job cost control and the
contract lifecycle to risk management and surety relationships, CFMA is
the only organization dedicated to the specific needs of construction
